Cancellation Policy
At Knight Street Dentists, we strive to provide the highest quality dental care and exceptional service to all our patients.
We are a small, personable business who aim to provide excellent quality at an affordable price. One of the ways that we achieve that is by efficient use of appointment time and staff. A missed appointment or short notice cancellation represent a cost to us and represent scheduling problems for other patients looking to book in.
We understand that there may be circumstances that require you to cancel or reschedule your dental appointment. However, in order to effectively manage our schedule and accommodate the needs of all our patients, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:
1. Appointment Cancellation:
a. We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the vacant appointment slot to another patient in need of dental care.
b. If you fail to provide at least 24 hours’ notice or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, a cancellation fee may be applied. The specific fee amount will be communicated to you at the time of booking and may vary depending on the type of appointment.
2. Late Arrival:
a. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause you to arrive late for your appointment. However, please note that arriving late may disrupt the schedule of other patients who have appointments following yours. Please call us on 03 5821 6997 if you have been unexpectedly delayed.
b. If you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, we will make every effort to accommodate you. However, depending on your allocated treatment duration, we may need to reschedule your appointment to another suitable time and a late fee will be applied.
3. Emergency Situations:
a. We recognize that emergencies can happen, such as sudden illness or accidents. If you experience a genuine emergency that prevents you from keeping your appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible to inform us of the situation.
b. We will consider emergency situations on a case-by-case basis, and no cancellation fee will be applied if the circumstances are deemed genuine emergencies.
4. Communication:
a. It is essential to communicate any changes or cancellations to our office promptly. You can reach us by phone or email during our regular business hours.
b. Our office staff will provide you with a confirmation of any changes or cancellations made to your appointment.
Please note that our cancellation policy is designed to ensure fairness to both our valued patients and our dental office. By adhering to this policy, we can better manage our schedule and provide timely care to all our patients.
